The phony psychic Reigen and his assistant, an inconspicuous junior high student named Mob, head out to dispel spirits from a well-known haunt.

The Telepathy Club, threatened with disbandment due to a lack of members, sets their sights on Mob. As he frets over joining, a new job comes in.

Mob joins the Body Improvement Club to get closer to his childhood friend, Tsubomi, but is nearly killed during a run. He then meets a strange woman.

The school gang leader visits the Body Improvement Club after being beaten up by Teru, a rival school gang leader who possesses psychic powers.

Mob, challenged to a one-on-one with Teru, chooses not to use his psychic powers. He recalls the day he foreswore their use as he faces Teru’s might.

Tome forces Mob into looking for people with psychic powers. Meanwhile, Mob’s younger brother Ritsu is approached by an ESP expert.

Ritsu revels in his omnipotence now that his latent esper power is awakened. Rumors of Mob thrashing rival gang head Teru take on a life of their own.

Ritsu parades his talents after taking down a bunch of rival gang heads. Mob congratulates him on his newfound power, but an eerie shadow is watching.

Ritsu is caught by the mysterious Koyama and led to the 7th Division of Claw, a secret society whose aim is world domination. Mob rushes to his aid.

Mob infiltrates while Ritsu and his group try to escape. A fierce battle ensues when the scar-faced leaders of Claw’s secret society block their way.
